Founded by Basanta Rokka Chhetri, Rokka Group evolved from a modest timber trading venture in Hetauda into one of Nepal’s diversified forest-based industrial groups.

Its portfolio now spans timber processing, catechu and cutch, rosin and turpentine, pine derivatives, essential oils, herbal extracts, treated wood, nursery projects, and agroforestry. The group’s work connects Nepalese raw materials with value-added production, employment, and future export growth.

What began in 1978 with Nabin Kastha Udyogh Pvt. Ltd. in Hetauda has developed into a multi-sector group working across wood processing, Kattha production, herbal extracts, resin products, and related forest industries.

Looking forward, Rokka Group aims to support Nepal’s export economy, reduce the national trade deficit, expand international partnerships, embrace appropriate technology, and protect the environmental resources on which its industries depend.
